Downtown Chalk on the Walk - 2026 Billings, MT

Chalk on the Walk returns to the streets of downtown on Friday, August 7th. You are invited to draw chalk masterpieces in designated locations on the sidewalks around Downtown. Come be a part of this positive community sidewalk art initiative and create a temporary masterpiece to be enjoyed by downtown visitors & the night’s ArtWalk attendees. EVENT DETAILS: - Date and Time: Friday, Aug. 7th, 3pm to 8pm - Sign up for a FREE 3ft x 3ft square here https://www.eventeny.com/events/ticket/?id=32645 - $5 chalk pastels can be purchased at sign up and can be picked up from the Downtown Billings office; August 3rd – 6th, 9am – 4pm and August 7 after 3pm. Create your temporary masterpiece downtown to be enjoyed by downtown visitors & the night’s ArtWalk attendees. ADDITIONAL INFO: Adults & children are invited to participate (every child needs to be accompanied by an Adult 18 years of age or older at all times). CREATE ON YOUR TIME: The official time of this year's event is 3pm to 8pm but individuals who have their own chalk are welcome to create their art on sidewalk's of downtown any time on August 7th. There is not a set time your masterpiece needs to be completed by so enjoy your time downtown or come back and work on your square on Saturday, August 8th during farmers market, if that suits your schedule better.
